Builder Agent Overview
Builder Agent is the AI solution designer in the Aqara Builder platform — it transforms a customer's brief spatial request into a ready-to-deploy spatial intelligence solution for service providers.
What Problem Does It Solve
Traditional spatial intelligence solutions rely on expert manual design:
- Slow design: each floor plan requires multiple rounds of communication, diagramming, and device listing
- Inconsistent quality: outcomes vary widely depending on the individual expert
- Prone to gaps: devices and scenes are easily overlooked, leading to uneven customer experience
Builder Agent turns this into a "describe the need → get a solution" process, letting service providers focus on customer communication and implementation.
Three Core Capabilities
Builder Agent provides three Agents focused on spatial solution design:

| Automation Generation Agent | Generates condition-triggered rules like "Lights off when everyone leaves" or "Turn on AC when it's too hot" |
Typical Workflow
A complete solution design typically follows these steps:
- Create a project / upload the floor plan: Tell Builder Agent what your space looks like
- Floor plan recognition: Upload the floor plan; Builder Agent completes spatial parsing and understands each room and existing devices
- Activate the Agent: Invoke the Device Recommendation, Scene Generation, or Automation Generation Agent as needed
- Generate the solution package: All three Agents work together to output a complete device list, scenes, and automation rules
- One-click deploy: The solution package is pushed to Aqara Studio for installers to use immediately
Spatial parsing is the foundation of every capability. The more accurately the floor plan is understood, the better the recommendations and orchestration will be. The Device Recommendation Agent is the first Agent to go live — typically activated right after floor plan recognition is complete.
