Deploy a Space Plan
Before deploying a space plan to a Studio, you must match every device in the plan with an actual device in the Studio.
Select the Target Studio
You can connect to the target Studio remotely through the cloud or locally on the same network.
- For a Remote Studio, confirm that the account, Region, project, and target Studio are correct.
- For a Local Studio, make sure the Studio has been set up and that the device running Builder Lab is on the same local network.
Steps:
- Open the space plan you want to deploy.
- Start the deployment process.
- Select Remote Studio or Local Studio.
- Select the target Studio and verify its details.
Review the Automatic Matches
After you select the target Studio, the system first tries to match the devices in the plan with the actual devices in the Studio.
- If you deploy the plan back to the source Studio, the system automatically matches devices that were previously deployed.
- If you deploy to another Studio, review and manually match devices for the target Studio as needed.
Review every automatic match. If a match does not reflect the actual installation, change it manually.
Change a Device Match Manually
- Find the device in the plan that you want to update.
- View the actual Studio device currently matched to it.
- Select a different actual device in the Studio.
- Continue until all unmatched or incorrectly matched devices are resolved.
The same actual Studio device cannot be matched to more than one device in the plan. After an actual device is matched, it is unavailable for other plan devices.
Finish Matching and Deploy
Before deployment, confirm that:
- Every device in the plan is matched to an actual device in the Studio.
- Each actual Studio device supports the features required by the plan.
The system does not currently check device-feature compatibility automatically. Use your knowledge of the devices to confirm that each match is suitable.
After confirming the space plan, target Studio, and device matches, submit the deployment.
