Remote Access

Feature Overview

By default, you can only access Aqara Studio within your local area network (LAN). When you need to connect from an external network, you can enable remote access to securely manage your smart home devices and control systems from anywhere.

Prerequisites

Before using remote access, please ensure that you have logged in to your Aqara Builder account and bound a Workspace on the Cloud Connect page.

Steps to Access

  1. Open Aqara Builder and select your bound workspace at the top left.

  2. In the left menu, click on Studios.

  3. In the Studio Instances & Projects list, find the device corresponding to your Aqara Studio IP and click the Connect button. You will then be able to access the remote access interface of that Aqara Studio.

    tip

You can also use an existing local user account to log in to the remote access address. The permissions granted will be exactly the same as those for local access. For details, please refer to Local User Management - Local User Roles.

Invite Other Users

  1. Visit Aqara Builder, select your bound Aqara Workspace on the left, and click Manage Workspaces.

    tip

To allow other Aqara Builder users to access your Aqara Studio, you need to connect to an Aqara Workspace that is not of type Personal.

  2. In the Manage Workspaces popup, click the Invite Members button to open the invitation window.

  3. In the popup, enter the email address of an Aqara Builder user and assign a role (Operator or Admin). For details on role permissions, please refer to Remote User Roles.

  4. After accepting the invitation, the invited user can log in to Aqara Builder and select the target Workspace from the top left.

  5. In the left menu, click on Studios, find the device you have access to, and click the Connect button to access that Aqara Studio.

Remote User Roles

A remote user refers to a user who accesses Aqara Studio using an Aqara Builder account. Remote users can have either the operator or admin role.
