Add Tags

To help you organize and identify devices and Points in your smart home system, Aqara Studio lets you add different types of tags to devices or points. This improves both the structure and efficiency of device management.

Tag Types​

Aqara Studio offers two kinds of tags: mark tags and property tags.

  • Mark tag: Used for identifying and classifying devices and points. You cannot assign a value to a mark tag.
  • Property tag: It allows you to set a value. You can use it to describe specific properties of a device or point.

How to Add Tags​

Below are the steps to add tags in Aqara Studio. The instructions cover both mark tags and property tags.

  1. Go to the Devices page. In the device tree on the left, locate the device or point folder you want to edit.
  2. Double-click the folder, and Go to the Essential tab.

Mark Tag​

  1. In the Mark tag section, click the + button.
  2. In the popup, select or enter a mark tag, then click Add. When done, click Confirm. The tag will appear in the mark tag section.

Property Tag​

  1. In the Property tag section, click the + button.
  2. In the popup, select or enter a property tag, then click Add. The added tag will show up below, and you need to configure it further.
  3. Property tags provided by Aqara Studio can only be assigned values. For a custom property tag, set its type first, then assign a value.
  4. After setting up, click Confirm. The new property tag will appear in this section.
